What is a multi-language Minecraft server?

Most Minecraft servers are built in a single language. If you do not speak it, you are left guessing what a menu button does or what a quest asks you to do. Some networks solve this by running separate servers per country, which splits the community in two.

A true multi-language server works differently: everyone is on the same server, in the same world, with the same economy and leaderboards, but each player sees the server's text in their own language. That is exactly how PinnaMC works.

How automatic language detection works on PinnaMC

Every Minecraft Java client sends its language setting to the server when you connect. PinnaMC reads that setting and picks the matching translation for everything the server displays to you:

Chat messages from the server (rankups, rewards, enchant procs, errors and tips)
Menus such as the enchant menu, your mine menu, the rebirth skill tree or the gang menu
Item names and descriptions, including your pickaxe, its enchants, crystals and other items

You do not need to type any command or pick a language from a menu. If your game is in French, the server speaks French. If it is in English, it speaks English. If it is in Spanish, you get Spanish, and so on for the other supported languages. You can see the current list on the languages page.

One thing to keep in mind: messages written by other players in chat stay exactly as they typed them. The automatic translation covers the server itself, not what people say.

How to change your language in Minecraft

Want to play PinnaMC in a different language? It takes a few seconds:

From the Minecraft main menu (or the pause menu), click Options.
Click Language...
Select the language you want, then click Done.
Join (or rejoin) play.pinnamc.com.

That is it. After you reconnect, the server uses your new language. If something still appears in the old language, simply disconnect and join again so the server picks up the change.

Tips for playing with friends in different languages

Make sure everyone sets their own game language. Each player sees the server in the language of their own client, so there is nothing to coordinate.
Use the same names for things. Enchant names like Jackhammer or Tactical Nuke are easy to recognize, which helps when you talk strategy.
Join the Discord. The PinnaMC Discord is the best place to find teammates, ask questions and follow news.
Vote together. Daily voting gives in-game rewards to every player who votes, so make it a group habit.
