Minecraft Prison Private Mines Guide: Expand, Invite, Tax
Every player on PinnaMC has their own private mine, sent as packets so it never lags. Here is how to expand it, upgrade its blocks, invite friends and earn tax.
Minecraft Prison private mines give every player their own personal mine instead of a crowded shared one. On PinnaMC, each private mine is packet-based: the blocks you see are sent straight to your client, so thousands of mines can run at once with no block lag, and nobody else can steal your blocks. You can expand it, upgrade its blocks, reset it whenever you want, invite friends and even tax visitors.
PinnaMC (play.pinnamc.com) is a Prison OP Minecraft server with automatic multi-language support: it plays in your own language. Its private mines are part of PinnaPrison, the prison core built by the PinnaMC team. This guide covers everything you need to know about them.
What is a packet-based private mine?
In a classic prison, everyone mines in the same physical blocks. When hundreds of players break blocks and huge AOE enchants explode at the same time, the server has to process all of it, and that is where lag comes from.
On PinnaMC, the mine world is actually empty on the server. The blocks in your mine are sent to your game as packets. That brings three big advantages:
- No block lag: mining and resets do not load the server the way real blocks do.
- Instant resets: a mine refill is just new packets, so it happens in a blink.
- Your mine is yours: one player mining never affects another, and massive enchants like Tactical Nuke can clear your whole mine without slowing anyone down.
Your private mine commands
Type /mine to open the mine menu. From there, or with commands, you can manage everything:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| /mine | Open your mine menu |
| /mine go [player] | Teleport to your mine, or to a friend's mine if you are allowed in |
| /mine invite <player> | Let a player visit your mine |
| /mine uninvite <player> | Remove an invite |
| /mine ban / unban <player> | Block or unblock a player |
| /mine open / lock | Open your mine to visitors, or lock it to members only |
| /mine public | Browse public mines |
| /mine tax <percent> | Set the tax visitors pay you |
| /mine reset | Refill your mine manually |
There is also a /minego shortcut to jump into a mine quickly.
Resetting your mine
Your mine refills automatically once a certain percentage of it has been mined. In the mine menu you may be able to pick your own reset percentage: a higher value refills sooner (while most of the mine is still standing), a lower one waits until it is almost cleared. You can also refill it yourself with /mine reset, with a short cooldown between resets.
Expanding and upgrading your mine
A bigger mine means more blocks per sweep, and more blocks per sweep means more money and Tokens from every AOE proc. That is why growing your mine is one of the best long-term investments.
There are two ways your mine improves:
- Expansion: makes the mineable area larger, up to the limit of your current mine type.
- Block upgrades: each mine type has several block tiers. Upgrading changes the blocks that spawn in your mine to more valuable ones, and once you finish a type's last tier you can move on to the next mine type in the progression.
When your mine type changes, your expansion and upgrade tier are kept, so you never lose progress. Exact prices and the number of tiers can change with updates, so check the in-game menu.
Mine types
Mine types define the look and size of your mine: its build, the mineable area, the decorations around it, its block tiers and how far it can be expanded. You start with the default mine and move through the other types as you progress. Some mines can even spawn mine bosses, giant heads you defeat by mining, with rewards for the mine owner.
Inviting friends and visitors
Mining alone is fine, but mining with friends is better. You can:
- Invite a friend with /mine invite, and they join with /mine go <your name>.
- Open your mine so visitors can come in, or lock it so only members get in.
- List it publicly: other players can find it through /mine public.
The number of members and visitors in a mine at once is capped, and you can ban anyone who bothers you. Because PinnaMC detects each player's language automatically, a French player and a Spanish player can mine side by side in the same mine, each reading menus in their own language.
Mine tax: earn from visitors
As a mine owner, you can set a tax with /mine tax. When visitors autosell blocks in your mine, a share of what they earn in certain currencies goes to you. A few things to know:
- Tax only applies while you are online.
- There is a maximum rate, so visitors are never ripped off.
- A fair tax makes your mine attractive; a big, upgraded mine with a low tax can bring you a steady stream of visitors.
Tips to get the most out of your mine
- Invest in expansion early: every AOE enchant benefits from a larger mine.
- Pair your mine with strong AOE enchants (see our features page).
- Mine with your gang members to push daily challenges and gang levels together.
- Use /mine reset right before firing off a booster, so you start on a full mine.

Frequently asked questions
Does every player get a private mine on PinnaMC?
Yes. Every player on PinnaMC has their own private mine, which they can expand, upgrade, reset and share with friends.
Why do packet-based mines not lag?
The mine blocks are sent as packets to each player instead of being real blocks on the server, so mining, huge enchants and resets do not create block lag.
How do I invite a friend to my mine?
Use /mine invite <player>. Your friend then teleports in with /mine go <your name>. You can also open your mine to visitors or list it with /mine public.
How does mine tax work?
With /mine tax you set a percentage of what visitors earn from autosell in your mine. The tax is capped at a maximum rate and only applies while you are online.
