How to Join PinnaMC: Server IP, Setup and First Steps

To join PinnaMC, open Minecraft Java Edition, go to Multiplayer, click Add Server and enter the address play.pinnamc.com. PinnaMC (play.pinnamc.com) is a Prison OP Minecraft server with automatic multi-language support: it plays in your own language, so once you are in, everything appears in the language your game is set to.

This guide walks you through joining step by step, explains what to do in your first minutes on the server, and helps you fix the most common connection problems.

How to join PinnaMC step by step

Here is the whole process. It takes less than a minute.

Step 1: Open Minecraft Java Edition

Launch the official Minecraft Launcher and start Minecraft Java Edition. PinnaMC supports recent Java versions, so the latest release is always a safe choice.

Tip: before joining, you can set your language in Options > Language. PinnaMC reads this setting and shows its messages, menus and items in your language automatically.

Step 2: Go to Multiplayer

On the main menu, click Multiplayer. If this is your first time, Minecraft may show a warning about online play: just click Proceed.

Step 3: Add the server

Click Add Server and fill in the fields:

Then click Done. PinnaMC now appears in your server list.

Your first steps on PinnaMC

You are in. Here is how to get off to a great start in Prison OP.

1. Head to your private mine

Every player on PinnaMC has their own private mine. Use /mine to open your mine menu and teleport to it. Your mine is packet-based, so there is no block lag and nobody else can take your blocks. It refills automatically as you mine.

2. Start mining with your pickaxe

Your prison pickaxe is the heart of your progression. Mine, earn currencies, and open the enchant menu to start upgrading. Early on, focus on enchants that earn you more currency and break more blocks. Later, you will unlock spectacular animated enchants such as Jackhammer, Meteor Shower or even Tactical Nuke, which wipes an entire mine.

3. Rank up

Spend what you earn to climb the ranks with /rankup. Progression is fast at the start, which is the whole point of Prison OP. If you are new to the gamemode, read our explainer on what a Prison OP server is.

4. Explore the other systems

As you progress, you unlock more: enchant prestige and masteries, rebirth with its skill tree, crystals, boosters, backpacks, autosell, bombs, drills, autominers, lucky blocks, abilities and attributes. There is a full overview on the features page.

5. Join or create a gang

Use /gang to create a gang or join friends. Gangs level up from the blocks their members mine, compete on the gang top leaderboard and complete daily challenges together.

6. Link Discord and vote

Join the PinnaMC Discord and link your account in game with /link to unlock rewards and appear on leaderboards. Then vote for the server every day for free in-game rewards.

Troubleshooting: can't connect to PinnaMC?

Most connection problems have a simple fix. Check the list below.

"Unknown host" or "Can't resolve hostname"

• Check the spelling: it is play.pinnamc.com, with no spaces and no "www".
• Check that your internet connection works.
• Restart your router or flush your DNS cache, then try again.

"Outdated client" or "Outdated server"

This means your Minecraft version does not match what the server accepts. Open the Minecraft Launcher, make sure you are using a recent release of Java Edition (the latest release is safest), and try again.

"Connection timed out" or "Connection refused"

• Your firewall or antivirus may be blocking Java. Allow Java (javaw.exe on Windows) through it.
• School, work or public networks sometimes block Minecraft servers. Try another network.
• The server may be restarting. Wait a minute and try again, and check the Discord for announcements.

"Failed to verify username" or "Invalid session"

Close the game, log out of the Minecraft Launcher, log back in and restart. This refreshes your session.

The game crashes or lags when joining

• Try a clean profile without mods, or with performance mods only.
• Lower your render distance in Options > Video Settings.
• Close other heavy programs running in the background.

Menus are not in my language
